WORKSHOP | Daisy Does Lino | Jack in the Green Lino Printing!
We welcome our pal Daisy of Daisy Does Lino to the KIT + CLOGS studio for another KIT + WORKSHOP. Learn the art of lino cutting and print making guided by Daisy. As well as creating your own lino print from start to finish you'll also have the opportunity to make new friends and try something new in a safe space, or improve your printmaking skills if you already have some experience. After the workshop your lino cut can be used to make prints again and again at home.
The theme for this workshop is MAY DAY. As a nod to our hometown’s legendary Jack In The Green festival we will be creating prints around the theme of May Day, the joy of the beginning of Spring and Mother Nature’s mysterious beauty. Think: vibrant green and earthy inks, meandering natural forms, folklore and ancient mythology, fresh and flowery designs, leafy foliage that’s full of life. Print: paper crowns, greetings cards, art prints or even fabric. All inks and papers, lino and tools are provided. If you’d like to print onto anything specific feel free to bring along items to experiment with!
